Although Southeast Boise took a lesser hit than other areas in the recent housing market crash, several Southeast Boise homeowners who purchased homes at the height of the market were still finding themselves underwater in their mortgage at the beginning of this year. Fortunately, however, things are looking up for Southeast Boise home values, which are now surpassing the already rising home values for the rest of the Boise area.

Southeast Boise home values are up 35%

The KTVB report below references a study done by CoreLogic that puts Idaho as the second best in the nation for rising home values. To give you an idea of how Southeast Boise home values measure up, consider this: home values nationwide have increased by 3.8% since last year. Idaho is well above that with home values increasing by 10% since last year, second only to Arizona. To expound on the good news of rising home values, ACAR President Kit Fitgerald, says the median home prices in the Treasure Valley have gone up 25% since the beginning of the year. And even better still, Southeast Boise home values are up 35% since the beginning of the year.
